This study has several limitations, including the fact that this whole blood study was performed in a small group of hemophilia A subjects as a single time point measurement. Also, the presence of residual FVIII prophylaxis interferes with evaluation of true mild, moderate or severe hemophilia in the presence of these compounds, as well as with establishing a baseline for clotting and thrombin generation behavior in the absence of thrombomodulin. |
