The omer offering (korban omer), or the sheaf offering, was an offering (korban) made by the Jewish priests in the Temple in Jerusalem. The offering consisted of one omer of freshly harvested grain, and was waved in the Temple.

The Levites are ordained by God and commissioned by those whom they will be serving. Then they get presented as a wave offering. The wave offering was the offering that was offered to God but not burned up. It was waved instead of laid on the altar and then given to the priests.
Levite je zaredio Bog i ovlastio ih je onaj kome će služiti. Zatim se predstavljaju kao mahana ponuda. Žrtva mahanja bila je žrtva koja je prinesena Bogu, ali nije spaljena. Njime se mahalo umjesto da se položi na oltar, a potom dalo svećenicima. |
